Will the Remodel Be Worth It?

Isn't this a question that's on so many of us home owner's mind? Well, it's on k and mine mind quite a bit lately. Especially since we are not planning on staying at our current home forever, as much as we love it.

Well, I found this house practically across the street from our house for $1,230,000. It is listed as a 4 bed/4 bath @ 3,200+sq (I personally believe that the asking price is a bit of low balling in this neighborhood, but you never know with this market)







If our remodel goes according to plan, we will have a 3bed/3bath, @2100+sq. Which will come with a 350+k price tag if we do most of work ourselves...

We'd be loosing $$ if we sell anything less than 1.15M. Is the market going to sustain a 1.2M 3bed/3bath say by end of 2009?

On a lighter note, we went to Lucky Goldfish on Broadway today and replenished our outside fish/water lily bowl. ~ it makes me very happy, ok, I am ready for some warm weather.
